  2. Hair coloring: Candidates may need to perform hair coloring services, including applying single-process color, highlights, lowlights, and corrective color techniques.

  3. Chemical processes: Candidates might demonstrate their ability to perform chemical services such as permanent waving (perming), chemical relaxing, or hair straightening procedures.

  4. Skincare and esthetics: Some practical exams may include esthetician tasks such as facial treatments, skincare analysis, makeup application, and hair removal (waxing).
